Hi, I'm Haley.
For most of my life, I never thought I'd have to make this choice.
I worked hard for my career. I love what I do. I am proud of what I've built, and I imagined I'd keep building it while raising a family.
I didn't dream of one or the other.
I dreamed of both.
Then life became more complicated.
As my family and career grew, currently I am a C-Suite Title at a Fortune 100 firm, so did the questions I never expected to ask.
Not because I have stopped loving my career.
Not because I am not ambitious anymore.
But because I started wondering what I wanted my days to look like.
I found myself thinking about the little moments I was missing. The routines, the conversations, the milestones, and the ordinary parts of childhood that quietly become a lifetime of memories.
This isn't a story about choosing career or family.
It's an ongoing story about wrestling with a decision I never thought I'd have to make.
About grieving a version of my future while feeling excited about another.
About questioning whether it's possible to have everything you want at the same time—or whether every season asks us to choose.
I'm sharing this journey because I know I'm not the only woman asking these questions.
If you're wondering whether changing your path means giving up everything you've worked for, I hope this space reminds you of one thing:
Choosing a different season doesn't erase the woman you worked so hard to become.
Whatever comes next...
I'm still me.
